STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

โ€I didn't understand the teacher's English at first, but I kept coming to the class because I enjoyed it. After a year, the teacher told me, "Now you understand my English well, good job," and I was delighted to see how much my English had improved since the beginning.โ€
Minako Nakagawa
"I would like to thank all the teachers who patiently listened to my poor English. I am sure you must have been exhausted after each class. I was almost homesick when I came to the U.S., but after I started participating in English Next, we laughed a lot together, my loneliness went away, and I was able to enjoy my life abroad."
Misuzu Yoneyama
"I was introduced to English Next by a friend who became friends with me soon after I arrived in the U.S., and I began to participate in the program. There, I was able to make some good-hearted friends. Although we live in different places after returning to Japan, we still keep in touch with each other using the Line. Thank you for providing a good place to meet people.

The Bible

The Bible is a book written over a period of about 1,600 years. It is said to have been written by about 40 different people. (For example, Moses was a shepherd, Isaiah a prophet, Ezra a priest, Matthew a tax collector, Luke a physician, John a fisherman, Paul a tent maker, etc.) They were also written in various places through the ages. Despite these disparate circumstances and elements involved, there is coherence and harmony in the Bible. The Bible itself tells us why.

  • 21ย For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God las they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21).
  • 16ย All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,…”(2 Timothy 3:16)
  • 6ย Jesus said to him, โ€œI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”ย (John 14:6).

The Bible is a book that has influenced a wide variety of fields. It has influenced national laws, thought, politics, literature, music, art, and more.

It has also had a profound impact on individuals. Many people who have read the Bible have been given God’s love, forgiveness, joy, strength, courage, consolation, and comfort. How many people have been encouraged by reading the Bible? The Bible is a wonderful book that gives us purpose, meaning, and hope for our lives and our future.ย

Old Testament

The Old Testament begins withย the Book of the Law. From the creation of the earth, to the birth of man, to the selection of the Israelites by God, to their escape from Egypt through the work of God, to the giving of the Book of the Law to Moses. Finally, God gives them the Promised Land. Inย the history books, the Israelites conquer the Promised Land given to them by God. The Promised Land is ruled by King David, who is succeeded by his son Solomon. After his death, however, the kingdom is divided. And later it is occupied by other nations. When the Israelites disobeyed the commandments of the Law and were about to be occupied by enemy nations again and again, God chose special people (prophets) and sent them messages to obey His commandments. They also went on to prophesy about the coming advent of the Messiah. This is described in theย Major Prophets/Minor Prophets.ย The poetryย are not about this course of Israel’s history, but rather the inner troubles and sufferings of the people’s hearts, and God’s grace and mercy poured out on them. It also speaks of God’s wisdom and His wonderfulness.

New Testament

The New Testament begins withย the Gospels. These four books are the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the birth of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, from the virgin Mary. Jesus Christ spoke the message of God’s love to many. Those with illnesses were healed, and those without hope were given hope. And the climax of all was that Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins and rose again on the third day.ย The history book, After Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, He gave the Holy Spirit to His disciples, the world mission proceeded, and the disciples of Christ told the good news of Christ, despite many hardships.ย Letter (Paul to the Church) This letter was written by Paul, who persecuted Jesus Christ and later believed in Him. Through his letter, he spoke of Jesus Christ as God and of the church as it should be, a congregation of saved people who believe in Jesus Christ. Paul also wroteย personal letters. He also wrote letters (General letters) about what it means to be a Christian and about church leaders who lead the saved. Many New Testament books were written by Paul, but others were written by others. These books were written about the Christian faith.ย The propheciesย speak of the future and of the return of Jesus Christ from heaven to earth.

3 Reasons to Open the Bible

The Bible is by far the worldโ€™s best-selling book with billions of copies in circulation. And yet, because it can be intimidating at times, many of those copies never get opened. Here are 3 reasons why you should open the Bible.

1. The Bible is one story.

ย  ย  ย It begins in a garden, ends in a city, and all the way through, it points to Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Bibleโ€™s treasure, and when you find Him, youโ€™re at the beginning of discovering all that God has in store for you.ย

2. The Bible is able to bring us to faith in Jesus.

ย  ย  ย โ€œFaith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christโ€ (Romans 10:17). The Bible was written: โ€œso that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his nameโ€ (John 20:31). Everyone who opens the Bible and responds in faith, is given the gift of eternal life.

3. The Bible gives guidance for our lives.

ย  ย  ย Are you confused? Do you need direction? Godโ€™s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119: 105). What better guide for life could you have than God Himself? He made you. He knows you. He loves you. Open the Bibleโ€ฆ and follow Him.
